Deer Sketches --Finally New Art RIGHT???!!

I am finally getting back into my own artwork again. I was so busy these past few months, but now I finally have some free time to just draw. So, I decided to do some warm up animal sketches. I did these last night while watching an animal video which had some deer in it. I really wanted to push the poses a bit, and as I progressed, the drawings took on a more simplified / sleeker look. It was a fun doing these, and I will be posting more art this week. Thanks for all the nice comments on the baby too! We found out that its a boy, and we are really excited :)

Oh man, you are laying down some sweet sketches. I am really taken with the great squash/stretch that give a a ton of life to these.

I gotta know, did you hit pause or let the little deer play at their own speed?

Way to rock it, bro!

Thanks guys!! It's good to be back!

--Dwilson, Thanks man, I just let the video play,...I would start a pose..and try and get some references from them..In a lot of these I pulled the info from memory. Luckily there were lots of jumping and running shots..so I was able to watch them a few times.:)
